Meet Our Doctor -

Theresa T. Kujala, DMD

Dr. Kujala received her undergraduate biology degree from Loyola University in Maryland and her doctoral degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Dental School. She continued her education at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry for her Advanced General Dentistry Residency.


Dr. Kujala has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years and took over the Bay Area Dental practice in 2014. She is a proud member of the APDP (Academy for Private Dental Practice), where she has served as a dedicated board member for the last six years and recently stepped into the role of program director for the 2026 annual meeting. She remains incredibly passionate about her work, always taking the time to truly get to know her patients while striving to provide the best state-of-the-art treatment with a deep focus on your overall well-being.


While outside of the office, Dr. Kujala spends her free time with her husband, Eric, and children, Sarah and Sean. She enjoys taking long walks and attending theatrical shows. She has a special interest in ballet and supports, as well as participates in, Ballet Chesapeake.
